ACE Bronze Celebration
Dear Parent / Carer
Since the beginning of September, your child has been completing sessions in Form, lessons and assemblies on the ACE (Academy Conduct and Expectation) Programme.
The ultimate aim of the programme is to prepare our students for the journey they are just beginning through secondary school and to support them with reaching the very top of the Outwood pyramid that is visible in all of our academies. This is not about grades in GCSE or otherwise but about helping our children to acquire and build the moral character that will bring them and their community happiness and success.
We aim to transform not just individual lives but the communities in which we serve and are lucky to be part of.
We are pleased to share that your child has displayed the conduct and expectations needed to achieve the Bronze level of the ACE programme. This is the first step on their journey to become an ACE student and your child will be awarded this, along with other students, in a celebration on Thursday afternoon. The short celebration will commend the students' attitudes to learning and the academy ethos they are following, because ‘it’s who I am’.
As they progress through the year students will have the chance to be awarded the Silver and Gold badges, but at this stage we are recognising the effort and commitment shown to achieve their first ACE badge.
Please pass on our congratulations to your child; we look forward to seeing them in our celebration on Thursday.
Yours sincerely,
Ben Eccersley
Associate Assistant Principal
