Dear Parent/Carer,

 

We are delighted to share with you our new Outwood Academy Shafton Careers Website. The website has been designed to communicate careers information, advice and guidance to students and their families. The website is accessible via PC, Tablets and mobile phone devices and will be updated regularly.

 

The site is accessible to all students within our academy and students across KS3 and KS4 can access information, websites and life skills in order to raise aspirations, achieve goals and aim for a bright future after Shafton. 

 

We understand that the pandemic has had an impact on our students and we are hoping that we can signpost students to the futures that they aspire to by beginning to re-introduce face-to-face contact with external Post 16 providers, employers and encounters with universities and colleges. 

 

Progress Careers is an impartial provider who works in partnership with the academy. Progress Careers supply a qualified Registered Careers Adviser and they work very closely with our Year 10 and Year 11 students preparing them for Post - 16 pathways. Information, advice and guidance can also be found on their careers portal. 

 

We are looking forward to students discovering all of the opportunities that await them Post 16.
