Dear Parent/Carer,
As we move into our final term of this academic year, we continue to drive on standards to ensure that your child receives Qualify First Education to enable them to have the best possible outcomes and life chances Post-16.
We have made the decision to make some changes to form groups across Year 7; we have to ensure that our learning environments are places where students can learn to the best of their abilities, with minimal disruption and maximised learning. Every student matters and deserves Quality First Education and our priority is to ensure that we can absolutely give our attention to teaching and learning and optimise our students' thinking and participation.
Alongside some students changing form groups, we will continue to uphold our high standards every single day. Students must arrive in full uniform each day equipped with their planner and equipment so that they are ready to learn.
We are really excited about launching our Collaborative Learning Structures this term with Year 7. This means that students will be maximising their participation in lessons, thinking harder and working with each other to ensure that they’re stretching and challenging their learning. We are keen to share our Collaborative Learning practice with you and we will continue to celebrate student success on social media, keep an eye on our X (Twitter) page @OutwoodShafton.
Yours sincerely
L. Kaye
