Dear Parents and Carers,
As you are aware, the next few months are a really important time for our Y11 students. In Geography we are supporting students to meet their potential by introducing a regular weekly homework task. Each task has been planned to address areas of weakness following careful analysis of their Y10 mock exam results. The tasks will include knowledge, skills and exam techniques that will support each student to build on their existing knowledge prior to their next mock exam in November.
Humanities enrichment is on Friday afternoon in room 3.18. All students are welcome and will be supported if they are struggling to complete the homework task. Feedback on the homework questions will be given during lesson time. Students who don’t complete the task on time or to an adequate standard will be expected to attend the enrichment session the following week so that they can be given additional teacher support.
As always, our website -
geography.outwood.com - will help students to complete the homework. This could be by watching videos or reading revision material.
I hope that by completing these short but meaningful tasks every student is able to improve their outcomes.
Yours faithfully,
Jayne Cadman
